I am a very goal oriented person. If I don’t have something to strive for, something to achieve, then I will just waste my days and be less likely to accomplish much. I’ve found that I’m happiest and I become closer to the version of my ideal self when I set solid goals. I use the word “goals” instead of new years resolutions, not because I’m against new years resolutions, but because sometimes my goals are shorter in length then 1 whole year. What usually works best for me is setting 13 week goals based on the yearly goals I set.
So for 2018, here are a few of my yearly goals, which I later will break down into 13 week goals:
- Read a book for at least 30 minutes every day
- Compete in at least 2 OCRs
- Get below 15% BF
- 100,000 Push-ups
- Run 365 Miles
- No sugary drinks (soda, tea, lemonade etc.)
- Triple crypto portfolio value
Many of the goals listed will require quite a bit of dedication and focus. In the past I’ve chosen a word to use as a theme for the year. For 2018, I’ve decided DISCIPLINE is my theme. I’ve set many goals for 2018, many of which are not listed here. I will need extreme discipline to stay on track and develop the habits necessary to accomplish my goals.
12 months from now, I will look back and reflect on these goals to hold myself accountable.
